Jewel Pink Dahlia

Jewel Pink Dahlia

Jewel Pink is a delicate looking ball-type decorative dahlia, producing masses of 2" blooms and requiring little or no staking. Despite their delicate appearance, the flowers are tough and heat-resistant, performing equally well in borders or containers. Planted in masses, Dahlias will fill gaps that develop in the perennial border and make excellent potted plants (1 tuber in a 12" pot). This variety prefers full sun, though partial shade will work in the south, and it likes rich soil and even moisture. With few pests or diseases to trouble them, it will keep blooming when other annuals and perennials peter out. It's long lived in arrangements too, lasting 7-10 days without fail. Easy-to-grow, it isn't bothered by deer, rabbits or other garden pests, though bees and butterflies love its tubular petals. Dahlia decorative 'Jewel Pink'
