Dahlia High Contrast Duo

Dahlia High Contrast Duo

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of dahlias to choose from, and we've paired these two for optimum effect. This burgundy-red and orange, High Contrast Duo includes both Okapi Sunset and Trebbiano dahlia varieties, both with large double blooms that span from 8-10" across in a wide, stunning display. Typically, dahlias must be dug up in fall and stored in a frost-free location in areas that get below 35 degrees. We have, however, seen over-wintering success (here in Zone 6) when tubers are planted slightly lower in the ground than normal, or heavily mulched. For a more floriferous, bushy plant, remove spent flower heads and support stems where necessary. Snip off side buds to grow large, show-worthy central blooms. Dahlia decorative 'Okapi Sunset' (3 tubers), Dahlia semicactus 'Trebbiano' (2 tubers)
